Calculators & Estimators
We offer two online calculators to assist you in projecting your future retirement benefits. Each calculator provides estimates only and should not be considered an official retirement allowance calculation.
Your actual benefit will be determined by the Middlesex County Retirement System at the time of retirement.
Vested Members
If you are vested in the retirement system, you can log in to the Employee Self-Service (ESS) portal to estimate your retirement benefit. The calculator uses your current account information, making your projection more accurate than general estimates.
All Members
Any member may use the State Retirement Board’s online pension calculator for a general estimate. It will:
- Project your future retirement benefits based on current or projected salary, years of service, and other factors.
- Estimate your monthly pension payments under different retirement scenarios.
- Compare your payment options using different beneficiaries.
What You Need Before Beginning
To get the most accurate estimate from the State Retirement Board’s online pension calculator, have the following information available:
- Your total creditable service
- Your current or projected salary information
- Your anticipated retirement date
- Your group classification (Group 1, 2, or 4)
- For members who entered service before April 2, 2012, the average of your highest 36 consecutive months of pensionable earnings.
- For members who entered service on or after April 2, 2012, the average of your highest 60 consecutive months of pensionable earnings.
